A cornerstone of our work is our awareness of the social responsibility inherent in business.
We hold ourselves and our international business partners to the highest standards of social equity, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability throughout the entire value chain of our products.
It is therefore important for us, on the one hand, to visit production sites several times a year to gain firsthand insight into the facilities and working conditions; these observations reinforce our confidence in our choice of manufacturing partners as socially responsible, accountable, and sustainable companies.
On the other hand, we ensure that these companies undergo regular audits based, for example, on Sedex’s corporate governance standards, which include the following initiatives, among others:
- Prohibition of Child Labor
- Payment of Minimum Wages
- Elimination of Forced Labor and Disciplinary Measures
- Occupational Health Prevention
- Working Hours and Overtime Regulations in Accordance with National Laws
- Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination
- Consideration of environmental and safety issues
- Freedom of Association and the Right to Collective Bargaining
- Social Responsibility Policy
- Management systems, as well as anti-corruption and anti-bribery policies
